Manonina is a combination of my name and my Ukraine great-grandmother.

I’m a visual artist of editorials, murals & commercial projects.

During my time in college, I developed a deep affection for Rotterdam, where I graduated from the Willem de Kooning Academy in 2019 as an illustrator. Since then I’ve been creating visuals and mural paintings for magazines, brands, cultural organizations and animation studio’s. Currently, I’m based in Antwerp, Belgium, my place of birth and upbringing.

My interests encompass psychological, cultural and social matters, along with projects that contribute to a more sustainable and inclusive world. In my personal work, I am inspired by subjects and experiences in my surroundings that lead me to reflection. My current practice is rooted in reflections on insight meditation and is often a response to the polarizing, fast-paced, and digital society we live in.

I explore these themes through the use of vibrant colors and conceptual language, crafting visuals that portray an idealistic or melancholic realm.
